Customer Service

From buying seeds online and tracking orders, to prices for wholesale seeds, and our shipping methods for live cactus and dried herbs, we’ve listed answers to our customer’s most common questions. Learn more about the quality and harvesting of our products.

When can I expect my order to arrive?

Order arrival timelines are dependent upon product, inventory status and delivery method. Most orders are shipped within 2 business days after the payment is received. Generally, you can expect to receive your order within 5-7 days from placing it. This does not include weekends or holidays.

45% of all orders are shipped the same day received, but we ask that you wait at least 10 business days before contacting us, and 21 days if sent to an address in a foreign country. Most orders going to Canada take about the same time as orders sent inside the US.

Can I track my order online?

You will be notified by electronic mail of your shipments details and tracking number. Tracking notification is sent by an automated email and will at times end up in the Spam or Junk folder of your inbox. If your Spam settings are set high, then you may not receive the notice at all. Not to worry. We have copies of tracking details for all sent parcels.

Also, occasionally the USPS neglects to leave a notice in a customer’s box telling the recipient to pick up a package at the local post office. If you think this has happened, simply take the tracking number to the local PO and ask for the parcel there.

What payment methods do you accept?

MasterCard, Visa, and Discovery credit cards are accepted. Sorry, we don’t take American Express.
• Orders paid for by credit card must be sent to the billing address.

We also accept money orders or cash by mail. We don’t accept personal checks.
• Orders paid for by money order or cash can be sent to any address you want.

Important: Unless you order online, please include a written copy of your order with payment, even if you’ve submitted it via email. Write your address on the same sheet of paper that includes your order details. When an address is included only on the outside of the delivery envelope, an order may get lost. Once we receive your payment we will mail out your order and email you to let you know it is on the way.

All monetary transactions are secure and confidential.

Is there a minimum order requirement?

Yes, orders must be a minimum of $15.00 for domestic shipment or $50.00 for international shipment.

Do you offer discounts on large quantities?

Prices for bulk quantities are posted for many items. If no posting is made, we can’t offer it at any lower cost. Visit our wholesale page for more information about wholesale/bulk prices and who may buy for re-sale purposes.

Shipping Fees

We ship only by USPS. Visit our shipping page for a list of shipping costs.

Orders outside the US

Unless otherwise noted we can ship seeds and dried herbs anywhere in the world, no special import permit is necessary. However, we cannot ship live plants outside the US.

Shipping during different seasons

The United States Postal Service, we discovered, is the best-hot-and-cold protected shipping service. Plants that aren’t listed as being available seasonally can be ordered and shipped year-round.

Confidentiality

Whatever business you do with us will stay between us only. We don’t sell or give our mailing list to anyone. Anyone requesting not to be on our mailing list, won’t be. Unless you’ve actually ordered something, you aren’t on our mailing list. Receiving a catalog doesn’t count as an order.

Unmarked packages

Occasionally someone will request to have his or her order shipped in an unmarked package. We don’t send goods unmarked. RSB firmly believes that some of our products should only be purchased by persons old enough to make an informed decision about them. All our products are shipped with a self-adhesive address label with a return address which reads: RSB, 730A Camino Del Medio, Taos, NM 87571, USA. No exceptions can be made.

Refund and exchange policy

Refunds are given if something arrives damaged, if we’ve incorrectly identified something, or if we’re out of what you ordered. If your goods don’t arrive in satisfactory condition, please return them immediately upon arrival for a refund or exchange. In most cases we’ll send you a return shipping label.

We warranty only accurate identification of each species, and that all seeds can germinate.

If you submitted an order and afterwards change your mind before submitting payment by credit card online or snail mail, then your order is canceled. No need to write requesting cancellation, but your thoughtfulness is appreciated. All incoming orders are carefully screened. A submission without payment is the same as a non-existent order: therefore, there’s no need to cancel it.

If for some reason you are curious about the status of an order you submitted, we encourage you to check your credit card records to be sure the order payment went through before writing us. Occasionally customers don’t notice that payment was declined after going through the checkout process. Payment may be declined because of: address verification mismatch, misspellings on the order form, or the online card service doesn’t have your correct data on file. Sometimes a cardholder’s bank will put a hold on online payments for any number of reasons, including lack of funds.
